This list includes sealants which have been tested as compatitble with Sto EIF Systems, based on evaluations performed by
the sealant manufacturer. Priming the sealant joint prior to installing the caulk is recommended by most manufacturers.
Other sealants may be suitable for Sto EIFS. Please refer to EIMA guideline specifications for sealants, document 300.01.
Sealant must comply with ASTM C-1382 tensile adhesion properties, and be approved by the sealant manufacturer for use
with EIFS.
Closed cell backer rod of the appropriate size is required to prevent three sided adhesion of the sealant.
Sto-ex does stock some of the above listed sealants, as well as the proper type of backer rod and installation tools.
